Where to find us

Cool Gool Music — Malcolm Callus
3 Tillett Square
London SE16 6HR
United Kingdom

The studio is in Rotherhithe, a short walk from Canada Water and Surrey Quays. Please arrange a time before coming — it’s a working teaching studio, not a shop, so there’s no drop-in.

Opening hours

Lesson slots run year-round:

  • Monday to Friday — 11am to 11pm
  • Saturday — 10am to 7pm
  • Sunday — 11am to 5pm

All times are UK time. Online students in other time zones are welcome — tell me where you are and we’ll find an hour that works for both of us.

Areas served

Lessons happen in three places: at the studio in SE16, at your own home anywhere within TfL Zone 3, or online anywhere in the world.

Lessons at yours — TfL Zone 3

  • SE16 — Rotherhithe, Canada Water, Surrey Quays
  • SE1 — Bermondsey, Borough, London Bridge
  • SE17 — Walworth, Elephant & Castle
  • SE8 — Deptford
  • SE14 and SE15 — New Cross, New Cross Gate, Peckham
  • SE13 — Lewisham, Ladywell
  • E14 — Canary Wharf, Isle of Dogs

Somewhere else inside TfL Zone 3? Ask anyway. A travel surcharge applies to lessons at yours — see lessons at yours and the fees page.

Beyond Zone 3

Online lessons reach you anywhere, at the same rate as the studio and with no travel at all. Lessons can be taught in English, Italian, German or Maltese.

What to get in touch about

  • Booking lessons — the registration form is the fastest route; it asks everything needed to offer you a slot.
  • Group courses — see the 19 modules on group lessons and register there.
  • Gift vouchers — email with the recipient’s name and I’ll send a personalised printable voucher. See gift vouchers.
  • Session and live work — guitar and bass for hire, on services.
  • Something about your data — including having a name or photo taken off the students or testimonials page. Email and it gets done; see the privacy policy.
  • Anything about booking or refunds — the terms and conditions set it all out, and the FAQ covers most of the rest.
