Music Lesson Fees
Here are the default prices for guitar, bass, ukulele and music-theory/ear training lessons — the same whether you learn in-studio, or online, with a slight surcharge if travelling to yours. Refer a friend and earn generous cashbacks on top.

£16.67 per session paying 6 weeks upfront, dropping to £14 per session paying the full 12 weeks upfront. Max 8 students per class.

Group courses
6 or 12-week courses start any time of year, with 19 different modules to choose from. Courses run at Cool Gool Music and other studios within TfL Zones 1–3.
- £16.67 per session if you pay in two blocks of 6 weeks upfront.
- £14 per session if you pay all 12 sessions upfront.
- Max 8 students per class, so everyone still gets personal attention.
If you pay for the first 6 lessons, payment for lessons 7–12 is due at your 4th lesson. This keeps your studio slot booked at the same time and day for the following 6 weeks, and keeps things fair for classmates who paid 12 weeks upfront.
Individual lessons
50-minute one-to-one
£40 per lesson at Cool Gool Music or online — or block-book 4 weekly lessons for £150. Outcalls (I come to you) are £40 plus a travel surcharge of £15 for a Mon–Fri start between 11am and 2pm, or £25 for Mon–Fri 3pm onward and all weekend times. The surcharge is shared or free if you introduce students near you who take lessons on the same day, just before or after you — for example, back-to-back lessons you and your neighbour close by carry a reduced or no surcharge.
30-minute one-to-one
£30 per lesson at Cool Gool Music or online. There are no block-booking discounts and no outcalls on 30-minute lessons.
London holiday package
Visiting London and want to brush up specific areas of your playing? I can come to your hotel, club or venue for an intense 2–3 hour Q&A session focused entirely on what you want to work on. Prices are very reasonable — please enquire.
How to pay
By bank transfer (details supplied when you book) or by PayPal. To avoid PayPal fees, please mark your payment as a gift to a friend rather than a service — thank you!
Recommend a mate,
get rewarded.
You don’t even have to be a student to earn — you recommend, I reward. Rewards are paid as cash equivalent by BACS or PayPal once your friends actually start.
Refer for individual lessons
£40 (or lesson equivalent if taking lessons with me) for every friend who books at least 2 × 50-min individual lessons — face-to-face or online.
For 30-min lessons
£30 (or lesson equivalent if taking lessons with me) for every friend who books at least 2 × 30-min individual lessons.
Refer for group courses
£14 (or £14 off if partaking in a group course yourself) for every friend who books a group course — or a free 6-week course for recommending 4+ who enrol.
Monthly bonus
2 free lessons (or cash) for recommending 4+ mates who enrol in a month, and 4 free lessons (or cash) for whoever recommends the most.
End-of-course reward
A special reward at the end of each 12-week course for whoever brings the most referrals.
Group loyalty
Group lessons drop to £14 per session when you pay 12 weeks upfront.
Just remember to tell your friends to mention your name when they register. Lessons and cash are granted once your friends actually start, and are equivalent to the lessons they enrol for.
